Bob~ As an energy
healing practitioner, I have worked with reiki, crystals, and drumming
as both a giver and a receiver. I went into this session with a great
deal of curiosity to experience all three at once. Being a healthy, active
47 year old I had no particular healing goal in mind, but now, even 3
weeks later all I can say is Wow. Nancy C. I
started with a Power of Three session with in late October 07 as part
of a sampling of the "Power of Three". That night after the
session, I felt strange inside of me and the pain I was having was much
less than it had been prior to the session. I went for tests and x-rays
the following Monday and much to my amazement the tumor had shown signs
of shrinking in size. My ovarian tumor had shrunk about 1/8 cm in diameter
from its original size. This small decrease in size was the first positive
result that I had had in a long time. Jenny Trier I wanted to share my experience from the Power of 3 session. This was one of the most powerful healing sessions I have ever experienced. It was awesome. There are many levels of Physical and Spiritual healing and relaxation. The session was immediately conducive to deep meditation allowing me to focus on the intention of healing. This is an experience that anyone can benefit from on many levels. I am looking forward to my next session. When I got up after the Power of 3 session, I notice I didn't have my "normal" leg pain. This was on Wednesday. The following Monday, I have not done anything to really stress my ankle but it has been pain free the whole week. Hi Bob: Bob I had the extreme pleasure of having you drum over me. I felt my lower back loosen, relax, and let go of stress! I felt the energy release and go down my right leg and out thru my foot. It was amazing to feel this awesome experience thru the drumming you was doing! I would Highly recommend it for anyone! Blessings! Hi Bob Just want to thank

The drumming Take care and God bless It was, with out a doubt, one of my most incredible, if not THE most incredible spiritual experience that I have ever been privileged to be part of in my life. All during I continually came into contact with spirits that I had never been in touch with before. I have no idea where I was but, I know where I was not. I was not in this body, for what seemed like, a very long time. Sometimes frightening, sometimes incredibly peaceful and safe. Always going forward, never backwards. When the ceremony finished, I felt completely humbled by the experience and the tears of both gratitude and shame fell like rain. I now feel that I am well on the way to being spiritually in the right place for whatever happens in my life, including my shoulder. I surely did not expect anything like that on that particular day, or any other day for that matter. I am very very grateful and remain humbled in the aftermath of what the spirits shared with me. What a privilege and honor.
Your work was so beautifully. I haven't felt that held and that safe in a very long time. The power and intensity of my experience is an indicator of the space you held. It was as if Spirit brought multiple, holographic layers of healing in one concentrated time. My journey was amazing..I felt as if I became everything - the air, the earth, underground tributaries, the earth, fire, the mountains and stones, I looked out thru the eyes of animals- whales, panther, cassowary,......, I was immersed in all white space and light with a white stairway that didn't need steps, galaxy travel, stars, sun, felt spinning and twirling/unwinding, felt the heartbeat/ deepest, pulse of my aliveness, was visited by ascended masters, very distinct, you brought the whole world and Universe. Bob: I believed the 'drum for fun' group would be a big hit, but the enthusiasm the kids demonstrated exceeded my expectations. Often they ask, "Is drummer Bob coming back?" Thank you for bringing your gift of drumming into our space. Your patience with young people is commendable. Most of all, I appreciate the encouragement you give to, and the compassion you demonstrate for, our kids. Kristin Moore

I met Bob Laake a few months ago at the Drum Healing
circle at FourWinds Academy. The first thing I noticed about him is that
he has this amazing energy, an intriguing combination of calm exuberance
and nurturing that allows me to feel less guarded when I am around him.
The next thing that caught my attention is his kick ass grin. OMG - it
is irreverent, conspiratorial and just dances with hidden laughter. After
getting to know him a little better, I also noticed that the man is NEVER
still, but always tapping out a soundtrack looping through his head that
only he is privy to. On the table with a spoon, on the floor with his
feet, hell, once I even noticed that he was scrunching an empty water
bottle in a pattern I recognized as Toby's nature rhythm. Each time I
see that, I have to smile because it suits him - this restless rhythm
making. It is an expression of his passion, his joy and his life's purpose.
And it shines through him when he plays, no matter the instrument. Bob teaches drumming in the Cincinnati area to those
of us still mystified by our djembes. He has a phenomenal amount of patience
- even with someone as remedial as myself - and can easily break down
a complex rhythm into digestible pieces that are more easily learned by
your average, rhythmically-challenged, left-brain thinker. He seemed almost
as excited as I was when I FINALLY got the oddly syncopated fire rhythm
going. But then, I caught that grin of his, lost the rhythm and had to
laugh where I normally would have become very frustrated with my own inability
to get it. Somehow he brings out the sleeping drummer inside me - just
like he will for you. Bob is providing our community with Sound Attunement Therapy (SAT) drum healing sessions, building on the foundation that Toby Christensen began here and carrying Toby's complete endorsement. According to Toby - 'The sun shines out of Bob's butt'. (Oh - I am so kidding. Toby didn't say that. He thinks the world of Bob, his drumming skills and his growing shamanic abilities. Neither Bob, nor Toby thought I would actually put that in here). Quite seriously though, Bob's presence here allows our drum healing community to have a strong constant center and to grow continuously. And my experience "under the drum" was nothing short of life-changing. It just took me a while to notice because I was too busy laughing and having fun. Mary D.
